Since 2004, we produce the Dorian Wine at Balatsoura’s vineyards. It concerns of a unique wine with history going back to many centuries.

Moreover, since the specific variety “Kosmas” is not cultivated or wine processed by other winegrowers, our responsibility is even bigger.

We make only natural wine with little to no machine intervention and we vinify in open wooden tanks with fir branches on top and stones from the local river for cap management. We use natural mountainous thyme for outflow filter and fir tree resin as natural preservative. We avoid the use of any chemical and we avoid any modern wine making technique. The above described method is a family recipe that our family follows for 200 years.

We have the last vineyard in the world with the very rare Ancient Greek grape variety named “Kosmas”.

Our vineyard is within a forest with no any other human facility nearby.

All of our products are certified organic from the Greek Organization “DIO”
