The Morello Austera farm is a small company that has been working in the food industry since 2006. It is offering traditional products of the Marche region and particularly the Amarena di Cantiano (Sour Cherries in Syrup) an excellent product from the early twentieth century that Morello Austera has brought back.
Morello Austera team strictly follows methods and processing times from old recipes, handed down from generation to generation.
Our company comply with all procedures of processing and preparation of the products, from the farming of fruit trees without using chemical fertilizers, to the processing of raw materials into finished products. All these process are done respecting the naturalness of the processed fruits without addition of any chemical dyes, preservatives and acidifiers.
The company's mission is to maintain traditional preparation methods and naturalness of the products offered to the public.
Fruit, as Sour Cherries, Blackberries, Green Figs, Wild Plums, Apples, Pears, and Raspberries are farmed from wild trees from the orchard where large temperature differences between day and night give to the fruits important organoleptic properties and intense flavors.
The jams are 100% natural and as the Amarena di Cantiano, do not contain preservatives, coloring or chemical thickeners. The only ingredients are fruit, sugar, and lemon zest.
The Morello Austera “Vino & Visciole” is revived by adding to a typical Marche region Sangiovese grapes, Sour Cherries and sugar. After a long period of fermentation and maturation it is bottled and left to age, obtaining a nectar with a unique taste.
To be enjoyed chilled as an aperitif or to accompany pastries, cheeses and dark chocolate.
